A tribute to grannies!

January 31, 2011 0 Comments Latest Updates by Janine Daniel

From our local Saturday Dispatch - The Cheil Column dated 29 Januartribute-to-grannyy 2011. A tribute to grannies.

What is a grannie? Grannies are things that no one can afford to be without. If you haven't got one, you should try as soon as possible to get one. A granny should be round and small with bright pink cheeks and gray hair in a bun, but they can be other colours and sizes as well, and still work just the same.

Grannies were mothers once, but instead of children they have grandchildren.

You don't have to keep a granny in your house, because sometimes they live with grandpas, or with other grannies and sometimes they live by themselves. It just depends of what sort of granny it is......

There is always something in a granny’s pocket.... or in her handbag or behind her back. Grannies love babies, on account they don't have to sleep with them.... Grannies can do most everything.... They can play dolls, hide and seek, read fairy stories; they know all the nursery rhymes on account they've been doing it so long.

A granny does not spank you when you do something wrong, but they look all sad and make you feel sad too and they kiss you a lot......

Grannies were God's gift to children, but because they were too good to scrap, they've been passed on to grandchildren.

Wonderful, isn't it?
